Monique Williams - The Designer

Hello everyone! My name is Monique Williams. People call me ‘indian’ and my friends call me ‘Mon, Mon’. I am a current student at the deCarteret College, in Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica. I am a member of the summer internship program offered by Ag Tec Australasia, Inc. Before I go further, let me briefly tell you a about myself. I am 18 years old. I am fascinated with dancing, singing, and acting and, quite frankly, I do them well. My hobbies are: writing poems and stories, watching adventurous movies and reading the Bible. I spend most of my time at church because Jesus means everything to me and in Him, that’s where my happiness lies. 

I am currently studying Business in school because I see myself as a young Entrepreneur, a Psychologist, and an actress. I choose these career paths because I love the idea of being unique. If you pronounce my name, it rhymes with the word ‘Unique’, for I am indeed unique. You may ask the question, why so many careers? Well, I believe that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” 

An Entrepreneur highlights the idea of me being independent, creative and successful.

A psychologist, because I love to help people and I want to be able to bring happiness to those that are hopeless.

An Actress, one of my major talents, for showing my many personalities that could, in fact, influence and bring laughter across the world.  This is who I am and who I will be.
